The Shichifukujin, or Seven Lucky Gods, are a group of deities believed to bring fortune. While visiting their temples and shrines was once a traditional activity during the first week of January, many now enjoy this spiritual walk year-round. This 7.5-km walk takes you past seven shrines and a treasure ship.
This walk was carefully put together by Yukiko Tajima, author of The 500 Hidden Secrets of Tokyo. It is included in the guide but can also be bought separately. Either way, it will take you to hidden spots that most tourists never find.
